Look to Puget Sound Council for reviews of children’s books
The Puget Sound Council for the Review of Children’s Books is composed of school librarians, public librarians and University of Washington School of Information students. Because many of us are invovled with the school setting we bring an expertise to the reviews which might not be seen in other reviewers. We are familiar with school curriculum, reading interests of students and needs of teachers and take these into account when writing our reviews.
We meet monthly on the first Thursday of the month at the University of Washington Library, Bothell campus at 9:15. Please join us. If you aren’t able to come to our meetings, consider subscribing to our monthly magazine of book reviews.
People who review books have the opportunity to keep one book for their library collection for every two books they review.
If you are a member of a group who works with children, in need of books and has no book budget, we are looking for you! We give many of our review copies to groups around the world. If you need books to use with the children, please fill out an application for book donations.
